Abstract Jack SOLD
Well it had to be done!!! After I painted a couple of American, abstract-ish flags, I had to paint a Union Jack. and here it is.... this also (if you look carefully) have an image of a stamp with the queen's image collaged on it. and I have already put it in an open frame (optional if one was to purchase the painting)
I so enjoy doing abstracts that then turn into an image you can recognise even though you're still looking at just a set of colours put on alongside each other.
I did not use any brush work on this, just squeezing the colour from the tube straight onto the canvas and then using bits of board just dragging the paint till it made some kind of sense.
Maybe I will try some other flags in this way??!!
