After the storm (Old Harry Rocks)
When you have painted a subject as often as I have painted Old Harry Rocks and the Purbecks, you want to find something a little 'extra' to make an impact. So I searched through many 'cloud' photos I could find (mine and others) and composed this painting.
It's the drama in the sky that one can see either before or after a good storm, especially when you're by the sea you can look at the heavens and see it almost forcing itself to open and once again showing the blue sky; but the sea is now calming down... reaching the shore in equidistant, parallel waves.
The awesomeness of nature at its very best!
